    HOOPOE BIKES WARRANTY POLICY

    At Hoopoe E-Bikes, we believe trust is built through reliability, transparency, and long-term support. This warranty policy explains the scope of coverage, conditions, and responsibilities in a clear and fair manner for all customers.

    Warranty Activation

    • Warranty starts from the date of delivery.
    • Customer must register the e-bike within 15 days of delivery on the official Hoopoe Bikes website
    • Proof of purchase (invoice) and product serial number are mandatory for warranty claims.
    • Warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

    What Is Covered Under Warranty

    Warranty coverage applies strictly to manufacturing defects arising from faulty materials or workmanship under normal riding conditions.
    Hoopoe Bikes provides warranty coverage for its products as outlined below, applicable only to the original purchaser. Hoopoe Bikes offers a warranty on the following items.

    • Warranty coverage is applicable only to the original purchaser and is valid from the date of delivery.
    • The main steel frame is covered under warranty for five years.
    • The hub motor and battery are covered under a 1+1 year warranty, subject to proper usage and maintenance.
    • The controller is covered for a period of one year.
    • Electronic controls and the battery charger are covered for six months.
    • Body panels, excluding damage caused by accidents, misuse, or intentional impact, are covered for six months.
    • Paintwork, excluding accidental or deliberate damage, is covered under warranty for one year.
    • Integrated lighting components are covered for a period of six months.

    What Is Not Covered Under Warranty

    The following conditions are strictly excluded from warranty coverage, regardless of product age or usage duration.

    Misuse, Abuse, and Riding Conditions

    • Damage caused by accidents, collisions, stunts, racing, jumping, off-road abuse, or riding beyond the product’s intended purpose is not covered.
    • Use of the e-bike beyond the maximum permissible load of 150 kg voids the warranty entirely.

    Unauthorized Modifications and Repairs

    • Any modification to the frame, electrical system, battery, motor, or controller immediately voids the warranty.
    • Repairs, servicing, or electrical work carried out by unauthorized personnel or service centers are not covered.
    • Use of non-original chargers, third-party batteries, or incompatible electrical accessories voids battery and electrical warranty.

    Normal Wear and Tear

    • Parts subject to natural wear are excluded, including tires, tubes, brake pads, chains, bearings, cables, grips, pedals, drivetrain components, wheels, mudguards, and similar consumables.
    • Performance degradation due to ageing, including reduced battery range over time, is not considered a defect.

    Environmental and External Damage

    • Damage caused by water immersion, flooding, fire, extreme weather, corrosion, or exposure to harsh environmental conditions is not covered.
    • Cosmetic damage such as scratches, dents, paint fading due to sunlight, or damage during improper storage is excluded.

    Documentation and Compliance Failures

    • Failure to provide a valid invoice, serial number, or warranty registration proof will result in claim rejection.
    • Ignoring recommended service schedules or continuing to use the product despite visible safety issues voids warranty coverage.

    Shipping Damage Claims

    Customers must inspect the product immediately upon delivery. Any shipping-related damage must be reported within twenty-four hours of receipt along with clear photographic evidence. Claims reported after this period will not be accepted under any circumstances.

    Warranty Claim Process

    All warranty claims must be initiated through Hoopoe E-Bikes or an authorized service partner. After inspection, Hoopoe reserves the right to repair or replace defective components with equivalent parts based on availability. All replaced parts become the property of Hoopoe Bikes. Transportation, inspection, and labour costs may be borne by the customer, especially for cases that fall outside standard warranty coverage.

    General Terms

    This warranty is limited to repair or replacement of defective components only and does not cover incidental or consequential damages. The warranty is non-transferable and valid only within India. Hoopoe E-Bikes reserves the right to revise or withdraw warranty terms without prior notice. Any disputes arising from this policy shall fall under Indian jurisdiction.
